About the Role

As a member of our Cloud team you will have broad exposure to reputed company of the systems that reputed company Materialize operate. You will build and run our fully managed cloud service, contribute directly to our self-managed offering, and reputed company improvements to our internal operational systems.

We are looking for a versatile, seasoned engineer to help reputed company the expansion of Materialize into new cloud providers. This work will span problems both deep and broad – from laying the new foundational layer of cloud networking and IAM reputed company our new reputed company clouds, to broad integration work of our existing CI/CD, billing, auth, and APIs that complete our managed cloud offering.

This role will be required to attend 2-3 onsites in NYC per year.

Responsibilities

• Own and operate our managed cloud, ensuring reputed company, availability, and performance for our SaaS product.
• Automate and streamline operations: write database orchestration logic, maintain robust CI pipelines, and bring order to the intersection points between cloud infra and business operations.
• Contribute to our self-managed offering that enables customers to deploy Materialize in their cloud of choice.
• Debug and resolve reputed company distributed cloud issues—from tricky network glitches to Kubernetes operator quirks and third-party integrations.

About You

• You have 5+ years of software engineering experience.
• You are impact oriented, excited to reputed company up in new areas, and comfortable with navigating ambiguity.
• You have strong experience with at least one cloud provider (AWS, GCP, Azure) and at least one infrastructure-as-code tool (Terraform, reputed company, etc.).
• You possess a growth reputed company, always looking to expand your skills and capabilities.
• You're a clear communicator and enjoy collaborating closely across teams.
• You enjoy taking ownership of large problems, and have a track record of leading successful cross-cutting projects.

Bonus Points

• Experience with GCP and/or Azure.
• Experience operating production databases or managing other critical systems.
• Willingness to participate in our voluntary on-call rotation

SALARY RANGE: $160,000 - $225,000 + Equity
