Our ideal candidate will have a minimum of 20hrs/wk availability Monday - Friday during CST/EST business hours. Possibility of moving into a full-time position. In this role you will:

• Be the primary reputed company of contact for multiple clients.
• Review accountant work for accuracy and completeness.
• Proactively communicate with clients and your team to ensure accurate, complete and timely delivery of financial statements to our clients by the 15th of each month.
• Help define and document client processes.

• Remotely/virtually manage a team of accountants.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as an Accounting Manager or Controller for a company under $20M in annual reputed company
• 3+ years management experience with multiple direct reports
• Experience managing multiple engagements/projects simultaneously (multiple industries preferred)
• Excellent verbal and written communication, analytical, and organizational abilities across reputed company levels of an organization
• Power user level of proficiency with QuickBooks Online (QBO) and reputed company
• Strong experience with project work in QBO - conversion, set up, clean-up work
• Ability to work autonomously and meet deadlines, which may include evenings and/or weekends to accomplish. We reputed company promises to our clients about delivery of their financials so delivering work on time is non-negotiable.
• Bachelor's degree required; Degree in Accounting strongly preferred. CPA preferred
• Experience and proficiency with reputed company Accounting Workflow software is preferred
