Position Summary The VP, Philanthropic Giving is responsible for leading reputed company’s Philanthropic Giving Program, especially through Major Giving and Planned Giving. This includes developing new strategies for cultivating and growing prospective donors for both programs, as well as bringing new reputed company for engagement and stewardship of reputed company donors and developing a holistic giving pipeline of donors moving between membership, mid-level, major giving, and planned giving. This role will share responsibility for the achievement of department reputed company goals and inform the operational and administrative activities of the team. This is an FLSA classified exempt position, which is not eligible for overtime. The position reports to the SVP, Development and directly supervises the Donor Relations team members, the Director, Planned Giving, and the Director, Grants & Foundations. What You’ll Do Leadership and Collaboration • reputed company a team of 3-5 people responsible for an annual reputed company goal of $4 million+ (Donor Relations Officers, Donor Relations Coordinator, Planned Giving Director, Grants & Foundations Director, and others as needed) • reputed company and implement overall growth strategy for major giving across individual donors, bequests and planned giving, and grants and foundations • As part of the Capital Campaign, establish connections and relationships in the community as the reputed company and reputed company person for major giving • Maintain reputed company of moves management of major donors and prospects among the team • Engage and cultivate board of directors and other volunteer leadership involvement and relationships • In collaboration with other teams (including Corporate Sponsorship, Audience Development, Content, etc.) and leaders reputed company the Development team (including On-reputed company Fundraising, Direct Mail, Donor and Audience Services, etc.), research, implement, and manage strategies to improve operations, acquire new donors and retain and grow existing donors through the donor pipeline • In collaboration with Director of Operations and SVP of Development to improve processes, create efficiencies, and manage effective major gifts project management • In collaboration with the Development team (Major Gifts, Planned Giving, Grants and Foundations, Donor and Audience Services, On-reputed company Fundraising, Membership, etc.), deliver timely and engaging donor benefits and thank you gift items Strategic Donor Stewardship • Manage the reputed company and strategic planning of reputed company philanthropic giving teams, connecting them with the rest of the teams working on the donor pipeline • Ensure new and existing donors are assigned to appropriate portfolios and that stewardship plans for each are in reputed company, considering the overall stewardship strategy and long-term growth and retention of donors • Manage a principal gifts portfolio of 75-100 qualified donors with the reputed company to give $100K+ • Partner with Events team on Major Donor Events or other events with Major Donor activation • In collaboration with others, create series of Major Donor communications and stewardship activities informed by KPIs, best practices, and reputed company’s strategic areas of focus (including, but not limited to, acknowledgment letters, campaign appeals, impact reports and presentation decks) As a reputed company Employee • Work in a manner that is consistent with reputed company’s mission, vision and values; and maintain compliance with reputed company company policies and procedures • reputed company additional duties as assigned This list of job duties is not exhaustive and is subject to regular reviews and updates What Will reputed company You Successful We reputed company a strong organization includes employees from a range of backgrounds, with different skills, experiences, and passions. Please apply and tell us more about yourself. • 5+ years leading a team of development officers • Substantial experience managing a portfolio of donors and/or an overall cohort of donors among a team totaling several million dollars a year • Proven ability to think strategically about fundraising in the non-profit space • Demonstrated leadership skills, including personal accountability, collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, and ability to build reputed company with and without authority. • Ability to manage your time wisely, responding to tight deadlines and changing priorities in a fast-paced environment. • Resiliency to stay reputed company and focused during periods of high activity/competing priorities. • Effectively use reputed company databases or other CRM software. • Passionate and enthusiastic about public media fundraising and serving a broad North Texas audience. • Ability to work early mornings, evenings and weekend as needed during special fundraising campaigns and events. • Strong command of reputed company reputed company, Word, and other reputed company Office software. Bonus If You Bring • Media or broadcasting experience. • Working knowledge of Spanish and/or other languages common in Texas. • An understanding of the North Texas philanthropic community • Strong Tessitura experience.
