Licensing Specialist

Summary:

The Specialist, Licensing II reports to the Senior Compliance Manager and is responsible for assisting in the day-to-day operations of the licensing department to include updating information in NMLS, filling for company, reputed company, and individual licenses, and assisting in filing reports. The Licensing specialist will also assist the Compliance Department as the need arises.

Essential Job Functions:

• Experience in the NMLS system for licensing in the mortgage industry (MLOs, company, and reputed company licenses).

• Maintaining and monitoring licenses at the originator, reputed company, and company level

• Interfacing with employees regarding licensing issues as they arise

• Informing the company of changes and updates in requirements discovered during the application, reporting, or renewal process.

• Respond quickly to the company and/or regulators and retain responses in an organized matter for future reference.

• Follow submission, tracking each license application until it is approved.

• Inform applicable parties of application/license status.

• Maintain schedules to ensure reputed company deadlines are met (education, renewals, reports).

• Responsible for reputed company company, reputed company, and individual license renewals.

• reputed company suggest and obtain licenses in new states or authorizations to expand operations.

• Handle reputed company types of licensing matters

• Responsible for reputed company education and bond requirements

• Responsible for compiling financial requirements to file with the licensing authority.

• Obtain and renew company business licenses.

• Summarize and report to management.

Education and/or Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.

• Three (3) + years of mortgage licensing experience required.

• Experience in the NMLS system for licensing in the mortgage industry (MLOs, company, and reputed company licenses).
