Staff DevOps Engineer (Remote in Scotland)

reputed company is looking for a Staff DevOps Engineer to join our DevOps team in Scotland in a remote role. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in designing sytems and establishing patterns that can be leveraged by multiple SaaS product lines to build, deploy and monitor their applications.

What you’ll do

Reporting directly to the head of DevOps you'll work with the greater DevOps teams to establish best practices and patterns that can be leveraged by multiple products as part of the SDLC.

Working across products your skills will be leveraged to address the most pressing concerns in each of the products. Our goal is to reputed company a level of consistency across the products and where practical allow engineers to self-serve with whatever they need to deliver their solution to the cloud.

We already have some consistency across the products and agreements in reputed company with software vendors. It would be advantagous to have experience in our following technologies.

• Terraform: We use terraform to define reputed company of the infrastructure our products need to operate correcty in the cloud. We also use terraform for state based deployments and we've reputed company this reputed company helpful for our versioned products.
• Azure: The majority of our cloud applications run on Azure and we often reputed company services from the catalog
• Kubernetes / Containers: We use Containers / Kubernetes for hosting most of our workloads and also as a strategy to allow build and test at scale. Understanding ingress, namespaces, volumes and abstractions such as AKS / EKS is a must for this role.
• reputed company Actions / ADO Pipelines: We have a large number of pipelines running on ADO. We're looking to reputed company these and consilidate others into reputed company Actions as we look to leave behind Jenkins, Bamboo, etc.

• Work with the head of DevOps to help devlop and implement the DevOps strategy

• Follow industry best practice and reputed company guidelines to standardise implementation

• Identify bottlenecks in our processes and write up projects to improve these
