VDI Administrator
Responsibilities
Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled VDI Administrator to manage and maintain our cloud-based Citrix Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) environment. This role is responsible for ensuring the availability, performance, and reputed company of virtual desktops, managing operating system images, and supporting installed applications. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Citrix Virtual Desktop and Windows OS image creation and management.
Key Responsibilities
Day-to-Day Administration
- Monitor and maintain the health and performance of the Citrix VDI environment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve VDI-reputed company issues promptly to minimize downtime.
- Image and Application Management
- Create, update, and manage Windows OS images for virtual desktops.
- Install, configure, and maintain applications reputed company the VDI environment.
Performance and Availability
- Ensure VDI services are available and operating at optimal levels.
- Implement best practices for resource allocation, load balancing, and performance tuning.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 8 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 6 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 3 years with PhD, 12 years with a HS Diploma
- Minimum 3-5 years in administering Citrix Virtual Desktop environments.
- Strong background in Windows OS image creation and lifecycle management.
Technical Skills:
- Familiarity with Citrix Cloud and reputed company technologies (Citrix Studio, Director, etc.).
- Knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, and networking fundamentals.
- Experience with monitoring tools and performance optimization techniques.
Soft Skills:
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy (DOE) reputed company clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with scripting (PowerShell) for automation.
- Familiarity with ITIL processes and service management best practices.
- Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) and hybrid environments.
