Sessions Available: Winter: January 2, 2026 to reputed company 30, 2026 Spring: reputed company 1, 2026 to July 31, 2026 for NURS 401 Fall: September 1, 2026 to December 19, 2026 Courses Available: NURS 401: Professional Practice with Adults Experiencing Health Alterations: https://www.athabascau.ca/syllabi/nurs/nurs401.html This course provides reputed company with asynchronous and synchronous learning throughout the semester and includes a four-week onsite Monday to Friday (Days/Evenings) in-person Acute Care (medical/surgical) clinical rotation in Calgary or Edmonton.
Clinical reputed company are responsible for supporting learners in an online environment, helping them integrate theoretical knowledge with hands-on clinical practice in a medical-surgical setting.
Qualifications
- Clinical reputed company must have a minimum of a Bachelor of Nursing (Masters Degree in Nursing preferred)
- Active reputed company registration (in good standing) with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA)
- A minimum of one year of experience in acute care (medical/surgical). Preference will be given to candidates with more experience.
- A minimum of one year of recent clinical teaching experience in medical-surgical settings reputed company AHS facilities is preferred.
The successful candidate will have clinical expertise in the course area and be responsible for providing academic and clinical support to learners, for marking assignments, evaluating clinical practice, and assigning and recording final grades. Teaching experience at a post-secondary level is desired. Experience in distance learning and familiarity with digital teaching technologies and online course delivery is preferred.
Along with the relevant academic credentials as mentioned above, this position requires excellent communication, organizational, administration and online/computer skills. The successful candidate should have demonstrated ability to maintain a high academic standard; answer inquiries, solve problems, return learners' work and inquiries promptly and reputed company the University's Service Standards; and maintain accurate student records.
Candidates must own or have access to a computer and internet with the capability to communicate with the University and reputed company and the capability to run any applications required to reputed company tutorial support.
