Position Summary

The Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) provides comprehensive, evidence based psychiatric care to patients through a secure, fully virtual care platform. This role is responsible for conducting psychiatric evaluations, diagnosing mental health conditions, managing psychiatric medications, and collaborating with an interdisciplinary behavioral health team to deliver high quality, patient centered treatment.

This position is designed as fulltime preferred; however, highly qualified candidates may be considered for engagement as a 1099 reputed company based on experience, licensure coverage, and organizational needs. Clinical services are delivered entirely reputed company telehealth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations using evidence-based assessment tools.
  • Diagnose and treat a wide range of mental health conditions, including but not limited to anxiety disorders, depressive disorders, eating disorders, OCD, substance use disorders, ADHD, and personality disorders.
  • Prescribe, manage, and monitor psychiatric medications in accordance with clinical guidelines and state regulations, assessing treatment effectiveness, reputed company effects, and patient adherence.

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Active Nurse Practitioner (NP) and Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in applicable states.
  • Multistate licensure preferred, with primary clinical focus on Maryland (MD), Virginia (VA), and Washington, DC.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience practicing as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.
  • Strong clinical knowledge of psychiatric disorders and evidence-based treatment approaches.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in psychiatric medication management.
  • Excellent clinical judgment, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport in a virtual care setting.
  • Commitment to delivering compassionate, culturally reputed company, and patient centered care.
  • Comfort with telehealth technologies and remote clinical workflows.
  • Availability for fulltime clinical practice preferred; contractor arrangements may be considered based on experience and organizational need.

Licensure & Credentialing Requirements

  • The PMHNP must maintain active licensure, DEA registration, and prescribing authority in reputed company states where patients are served.
  • Primary clinical coverage includes Maryland (MD), Virginia (VA), and Washington, DC.
