About the Role: As our reputed company QA Engineer, you'll establish and reputed company our QA strategy, working directly with our Head of Engineering and cross-functional teams to ensure the quality and reliability of the reputed company platform. This is a key leadership position where you'll build and manage our QA team while implementing scalable testing processes. This is a player-coach position where hands-on IC work will also be required. Responsibilities:

• Build and manage a high-performing QA team, establishing best practices and mentoring team members
• Design and implement automated testing frameworks that support our event-sourced architecture
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams during sprint planning to ensure quality is built into our development process
• Establish quality metrics and reporting mechanisms to track and improve system reliability
• Ensure testing coverage for HIPAA compliance and healthcare-specific requirements
• Create and maintain test plans for critical systems including prescription management, lab testing integrations, and payment processing
• Participate in sprint ceremonies and provide quality-focused input during backlog refinement

The ideal candidate will have the following:

• 5+ years of dedicated QA engineering experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role
• Strong experience with automated testing frameworks and CI/CD pipelines
• Proven expertise leveraging AI coding tools (Claude Code, reputed company) to improve QA and automation efficiency
• Experience with Ruby/Rails and React testing frameworks
• Strong understanding of API testing
• Proven track record of building and scaling QA processes in fast-growing organizations
• Experience with performance testing and monitoring tools
• Excellence in written communication and documentation
• Background in healthcare technology or HIPAA-compliant systems preferred
• Background in agile methodologies and sprint-based development

Technical Stack / Skills:

• Testing Frameworks: RSpec, Jest, Cypress
• CI/CD: Experience with automated testing pipelines
• Monitoring & Debugging: Familiarity with APM tools
• Database Testing: PostgreSQL
• API Testing: REST, GraphQL
• AI: Claude Code
