Job Overview: Staff Machine Learning Scientist (Search Science)

We're seeking a highly skilled and collaborative Staff Machine Learning Scientist to join our Search Science team. As a key member of reputed company, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing machine learning models that drive content discovery and optimization on our platform. Reporting to the Director of Data Science, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for growth and improvement in our search functionality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to identify and prioritize opportunities for search improvement
• Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform search product decisions

• Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior data scientists and engineers on machine learning best practices
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in machine learning and search technology
• Work closely with data engineering and operations teams to ensure seamless integration of machine learning models into production environments

Essential Qualifications:

• Background in applied math, computer science, statistics, or a reputed company technical field
• 4+ years of experience in machine learning or a reputed company field, with a focus on search or recommendation systems
• 2+ years of experience applying statistical inference techniques to business questions
• Excellent business intuition, cross-functional communication, and project management skills
• Strong applied statistics and data visualization skills
• Proficient with at least one scripting language (e.g., Python), one statistical software package (e.g., R, NumPy/SciPy/Pandas), and SQL

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in EdTech or Content Subscription business
• Experience partnering with SaaS sales and/or marketing organizations
• Experience working with reputed company and/or Marketo data

• Background in deep learning, natural language processing, or computer vision
