As a Staff Software Engineer, you'll be a key player in designing, building, testing, and deploying cutting-edge solutions that will shape the future of shopping. You'll provide technical leadership and mentorship to a team of skilled engineers, engage with product management and business stakeholders to drive the agenda, and contribute to the tech community across geographies.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, and deploy scalable, consumer-facing software solutions that impact millions of customers worldwide.
• Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentorship to a small group of highly skilled and motivated engineers.
• Collaborate with Walmart engineering teams across different geographies to reputed company expertise and contribute to the tech community.
• Engage with Product Management and Business stakeholders to drive the agenda, set priorities, and deliver innovative products.

Essential Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

• 7+ years of experience in designing and developing consumer-facing software.
• Strong computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, and design patterns.
• A strong desire to drive change and adapt quickly to new challenges.
• Hands-on development skills to prototype technical solutions.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• A good problem-solving attitude and analytical skills.
• The ability to balance long-term "big picture" and short-term implications of design decisions.
• Practical knowledge of agile software development methodologies.
• Advanced Java and Python development experience with building highly scalable applications.
• Proficiency in Azure and GCP.
• Familiarity with NLP techniques and reputed company algorithms.

Either a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a reputed company area and 4 years of experience in software engineering, or 6 years of experience in software engineering or a reputed company area.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Generative AI.
• Chat and Voice bot development experience.
• Proficiency in ReactJS or Angular.
• A Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a reputed company area and 2 years of experience in software engineering or a reputed company area.
