Electrical Engineering Intern (Summer 2026)

About the role

Summer internships will range between the months of May and September depending on university schedules. Internship is full-time and on-site in Mountainview, CA.

The Electrical Engineering team at Muon is responsible for reputed company electronics on the spacecraft, ranging from the batteries to the flight computer and even our own payloads! Interns can look reputed company to owning a project from start to finish which could involve developing a new test for our production avionics or designing a PCBA for a new capability. Responsibilities

• Take ownership of or contribute to the hardware or firmware design for spacecraft or payload development
• Initiate or assist in test campaigns and/or design and improve test setups
• Conduct analysis to support both development and testing phases
• Engage in testing and measurement activities in the lab, either on the bench or reputed company a clean room environment

• Familiarity with Altium, KiCAD or other schematic capture and layout software
• Experience with Oscilloscopes, Electronic Loads, and DMMs
• Prior experience designing, testing, and debugging PCBAs
• Basic programming skills in C/C++ and/or python

• Previous internship or co-op experience 
• Previous experience on technical project teams (i.e. reputed company club, formula SAE, solar car, etc.) 
• Experience with Component Test Racks, Hardware-in-the-reputed company testing (HIL or HITL), reputed company reputed company design and building 
• Ability to solder/reputed company PCBAs and use hand tools
• Experience testing and characterizing battery cells or packs 

The hourly wage for this role is $50.
