Job Description

Job title: PART-TIME DATA ENTRY OPERATOR Company: West Oakland Job Resource Center Job description: PART-TIME DATA ENTRY OPERATOR The West Oakland Job Resource Center’s (WOJRC) is a non-profit, 501(c)3, organization, the mission of which is to transforming the lives of underserved residents of West Oakland and the greater Bay Area by building a thriving, inclusive community that provides financial and economic opportunities, and by catalyzing industry and policy changes. Position Summary: This is a part-time (20 hours per week) and “At Will” position at West Oakland Job Resource Center (WOJRC). The Data Entry Operator reports to the Data Manager. WOJRC is looking for someone who can work with diverse populations and clients who face socio-economic hurdles, is self-motivated, can multi-task, is team oriented, and is willing to learn how to utilize new data systems. The part-time Data Entry Operator will be responsible for gathering and entering daily client information from our team of Financial and Career Coaches, and regional partners. The Data Entry Operator will enter, update, and maintain client information on various database systems, including the State of California Employment Development Department’s CalJOBs database system, Salesforce, and WOJRC’s CRM. The Data Entry Operator will work with staff and our partners to ensure that client documentation is collected and information is entered accurately and in a timely manner. Ultimately, a successful Data Entry Operator will be responsible for maintaining accurate, up-to-date, and usable information in our systems.

Responsibilities

  • Gather, sort and verify accuracy of data
  • Organize and maintain client paper and electronic files
  • Transfer data from paper formats into computer files, database systems and spreadsheets
  • Respond to queries by accessing relevant files and generating reports
  • Performed modifications, edits and deletions to the database based on approved documents
  • Comply with data integrity, security policies and procedures
  • Ensure that all client information is kept confidential
  • Ensure proper use of office equipment and address any malfunctions

Requirement

  • Excellent attention to detail and good communication skills
  • Ability to multitask effectively and perform repetitive tasks in a timely manner
  • Adhere to policies and procedures pertaining to to
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in data entry or equivalent training
  • Ability to type 40 words per minute a plus
  • Experience with various word processors and spreadsheets a plus
  • Familiarity with the CalJobs and Salesforce database system a plus but not required,
  • Excellent knowledge of correct spelling, grammar and punctuation
