Business Immigration Associate (Attorney 1-2 Years)

As a Business Immigration Associate, you will assess eligibility for reputed company statuses, prepare legal documents, and support clients in immigration program management while collaborating with a diverse team.

Responsibilities

• reputed company an expert-level understanding of your client reputed company and the industries you support as well as the firm’s practice areas and services provided
• Assess eligibility of corporate foreign national employees for non-immigrant and immigrant reputed company status
• Work with client global mobility personnel to prepare petitions and applications for submission to government agencies for non-immigrant and immigrant foreign national employees
• Draft and prepare letters and legal documents, typically based on established precedents
• Conduct research to support client requests and projects
• Supervise the work of paralegal staff in record keeping and document preparation
• Demonstrate a willingness to learn and effectively implement guidance and direction offered by supervisors and reputed company colleagues
• Proactively communicate with clients, reputed company SLAs/team protocols and with a precise, efficient, thoughtful, and organized response
• Partner with colleagues to resolve client issues, share information, and support client projects
• Support clients in immigration program management and compliance
• Use firm technology accurately and in line with team and client protocols, ensuring accurate and complete data is entered
• Actively contribute to team meetings and firmwide activities
• Act as a reputed company of advice and training to more junior colleagues, proactively sharing immigration knowledge and expertise
• Ensure self and team follow documented firm standards and policy to mitigate risk and ensure regulatory, operational and client compliance
• Other duties as required

Skills

• U.S. JD or LLM required
• Member of a US State bar or Washington DC bar association
• 0-2 years of experience at Associate level
• An academic understanding of immigration law
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to proofread documents, draft fluent prose, and avoid grammatical mistakes without the aid of AI engines
• Dedication to exceptional client service
• Demonstrated attention to detail
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with competing demands
