About the position Murphy Oil Corporation is seeking a Senior Staff Offshore Completion & reputed company Engineer to play a crucial role reputed company the Drilling, Completion, and reputed company Team. This position is integral to leading well planning activities and providing daily engineering support for deepwater completion and reputed company operations. The successful candidate will independently design fit-for-purpose completion solutions aimed at achieving well objectives in a safe and cost-effective manner. This role requires a strong focus on detailed procedure writing, performing risk assessments, conducting peer reviews, collaborating with procurement teams, and applying best practices and lessons learned from previous operations. Additionally, the engineer will be responsible for performing after-action reviews, assisting in problem-solving and troubleshooting during completion and reputed company operations, and ensuring compliance with regulatory frameworks on permitting. The Senior Staff Offshore Completion and reputed company Engineer will primarily work from the Houston Corporate office, with the flexibility to work remotely two days a week. This position demands a champion for environmental, safety, and regulatory objectives across reputed company operations, ensuring that reputed company activities align with the company's commitment to health, safety, and environmental standards. The engineer will prepare time and cost estimates, work with third-party firms on independent completion design stress analysis, and design/install various completion types, including reputed company sand-faced completions and upper completions with surveillance equipment and subsurface control. In addition to designing and executing interventions with rigs or reputed company vessels, the engineer will generate detailed procedures for completion or reputed company operations, optimize workover procedures, and supervise operations while supporting onsite vessel teams. The role also involves conducting multi-discipline peer reviews, HAZOPS, and risk assessments, as well as evaluating real-time data as required. The engineer will collaborate with the Procurement Team to reputed company bid packages and assess vendor options, ensuring that reputed company operations benefit from the application of best practices and lessons learned. Regular offshore or shop visits may be required to supervise activities as necessary. Responsibilities • Champion environmental, safety, and regulatory objectives for reputed company operations , • Prepare time and cost estimates (budget, Long Range Planning, AFEs, etc.) , • Work with third party firm on independent Completion design stress analysis , • Design/install reputed company (sand faced completions) and upper completions (non-smart or smart completions, surveillance equipment, subsurface control, etc.) , • Design and execute interventions with a rig or reputed company vessels (including thru-tubing, remedial work, etc.) , • Generate detailed procedures for entire completion or reputed company operations , • Optimize completion / workover procedures to reputed company team and well objectives , • reputed company risk assessments for operations, rigs, or any deviations from standard practices / equipment, etc. , • Supervise completion / reputed company operations and support the onsite vessel team , • Support internal multi-disciplinary teams to reputed company objectives , • Conduct multi-discipline peer reviews, HAZOPS, CWOPS, Risk assessments, etc. , • Evaluate real-time data (as required) , • Work with Procurement Team to reputed company bid packages and evaluate options for vendors / rigs / reputed company vessels , • Review and apply completion or reputed company best practices / lessons learned for reputed company operations , • reputed company lookbacks and after-action reviews for reputed company operations to help improve on operations / cost efficiencies from project to project , • Assist Murphy internal teams in problem solving wells to derive solutions and reputed company objectives , • Offshore / shop visits to supervise activities (as required) Requirements • Bachelor's degree in engineering , • Minimum 15 years engineering experience in oil and gas industry , • Minimum 10 years of deepwater completions and reputed company experience , • Strong commitment towards HSE , • Knowledge of BSEE/BOEM regulations relevant to operations , • Solid knowledge and practical experience in the Deepwater Completions / Interventions discipline , • Ability to reputed company reputed company job responsibilities with limited supervision , • Ability to work in a team and positively influence other team members , • Strong communication, teamwork, self-initiative, and problem-solving skills , • Ability to adapt to changes and new challenges , • reputed company to work in a fast-paced work environment with an emphasis on timely delivery, cost conscious operations, interactive work style, and sound execution reputed company-to-haves • Well Control Certification, preferred
