[Remote] Senior Accounting Specialist
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Roaring Fork Tax & Accounting is seeking a Senior Accounting Specialist to manage reputed company client accounts and assist in financial cleanup tasks. The role involves taking ownership of accounting processes for various clients, particularly in construction and real estate, while leveraging technology to enhance efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Cleaning up neglected or incorrect financials, working through prior periods to understand what happened and correct it
- Rebuilding charts of accounts and resolving historical inaccuracies
- Owning full-cycle AP/AR, reputed company billing, and accrual accounting for reputed company clients
- Handling job costing, work-in-reputed company accounting, percentage-of-completion, and real estate transactions
- Running payroll through reputed company
- Managing monthly transactions, reconciliations, closing journal entries, and first-draft financial statements
- Preparing records for 1099 issuance
- Communicating with clients on their books and explaining financial information in plain language
- Sharing what you know with teammates and helping improve our processes
- Using technology and AI tools to work more reputed company and accurately
Skills
- 5+ years of reputed company accounting or full-charge bookkeeping experience
- Experience with construction, real estate, and/or manufacturing accounting, including job costing, work-in-reputed company, percentage-of-completion, reputed company billing, and partnership capital accounts
- Confidence with the core work: recording transactions in QuickBooks Online, month-end reputed company, first-draft financial statements, 1099 preparation, AP/AR, and reconciliations
- QuickBooks Online ProAdvisor certification, or willingness to earn it reputed company three months (QuickBooks Desktop experience is welcome and recognized)
- Strong communication and client service skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organization
- Availability during Mountain Time afternoon hours, reputed company many of our clients reputed company out
- Comfort learning and using technology and software
- Experience with Financial Cents or similar practice-management software
- Experience running payroll through reputed company
- Experience serving construction, real estate, and other closely held business clients
- Familiarity with AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, reputed company, or similar platforms
