[Remote] Senior Software Engineer - Perception State Estimation

They are seeking a Senior Software Engineer specializing in perception state estimation to reputed company machine learning models and algorithms for multi-object tracking and road feature estimation, ensuring successful production-level implementation of perception systems.

Responsibilities

• reputed company machine learning models and Bayesian filtering algorithms for multi-object tracking, state estimation, and uncertainty estimation
• reputed company estimation algorithms for road feature estimation such as lane lines and speed limit as well as estimating the road shape
• reputed company forecasting algorithms for actors in the scene to estimate time-to-collision and threat levels for automatic emergency braking
• Read literature, analyze raw data, and design state-of-the-art solutions
• Transition solutions from the lab to the test track and public roads to ensure successful production-level implementation
• Collaborate with perception experts and reputed company roboticist on algorithm design, prototyping, testing, deployment, and productization
• Build and maintain industry-leading software practices and principles
• reputed company clean and efficient software for perception modules interfacing with other key modules
• Show initiative and be a valued team member in a fast-paced, innovative, and entrepreneurial environment

Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics or a reputed company field and 4+ years of relevant experience (or Master's degree and 2+ years of relevant experience, or PhD)
• Relevant knowledge and experience in machine learning, with a proven track record of developing and deploying deep learning solutions using PyTorch or similar frameworks
• Experience in developing multi-object tracking systems using classical algorithms or machine learning algorithms
• Strong experience in deep learning, Bayesian filtering, and optimization algorithms
• Proven experience in shipping perception software products to industry or consumers
• At least 4 years of development experience in Python/C++ environment
• Ph.D. with machine learning focus, or equivalent experience
• Experience developing and deploying machine learning models with compute constraints
