Insurance Broker and Retirement Advisor (Company-paid insurance licensing course)

Cornerstone Wealth Advisory Group is looking to expand its agency in the Charleston area by bringing in talented individuals for the role of Insurance Broker and Retirement Advisor. This position involves making phone calls to book client appointments, educating clients on insurance and financial matters, and providing a range of products and services tailored to their needs.

Responsibilities

  • This is a full-time position with an expectation of 35-40 hours per week in your first year, and then flexibility in your schedule after that
  • 2-3 days per week you will come to the office where you will be given leads to make phone calls and book appointments. You must be able/willing to make as many phone calls as it takes to book 5-7 appointments for the following day
  • 2-3 days per week you will physically go to the appointments you have booked. You are able to choose the location in which you run appointments
  • The purpose of these appointments is to provide education to the clients regarding their insurance and financial matters, such as:
  • Their health insurance (frequently we are meeting with newly retired individuals who need guidance about Medicare Insurance)
  • Their life insurance
  • Their investments
  • If there are products and services that may help them, you will present those products to them
  • Through our agency, you will be brokered with more than 150 different insurance companies so you will have many options for your clients
  • You will earn commissions based on your sales
  • Your license will give you general knowledge, but your on-the-job training will give you your career. You will be paired with a mentor who will work with you through every step of the process for as long as it takes for you to be comfortable working on your own. All commissions are split during this time
  • Cornerstone is one of the fastest growing agencies of its type in the area. As we continue to expand we promote from within. New advisors are given the opportunity to become trainers, mentors, and move into management if that is their desire. With these promotions come higher contract levels and additional opportunities for growing their own team as well as their personal production
  • Commission sales come with renewals, meaning you are paid each year as your clients’ policies renew. These compounding commissions year after year create a steady income stream that typically equates to an estimated 10-25% growth year over year
  • Within 5 years, the average agent can expect to be making over 6 figures, working a schedule that is completely flexible, attending annual sales conventions all around the world and managing a large book of business for existing clients

Skills

  • 18+ years old
  • Must have your own vehicle for driving to and from client appointments
  • Must have laptop or tablet
  • Willing to make phone calls to book client appointments. (Leads will be provided)
  • Good communication is a must
  • If selected for this position you will be required to complete the online insurance licensing course within 45 days. (it's a 40 hour course)
  • You must pass the state exam, pass a background check and fingerprinting and application to the state for your license
  • You must be in a financially stable situation in which you can handle fluctuating earnings
