A Day in the Life

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

• Provide guidance, structure, draft, and negotiate agreements with respect to various strategic opportunities, such as new and innovative sales programs, discount arrangements, group purchasing organization agreements, technology agreements, distribution, capital sales programs, or service and repair agreements.
• Provide guidance on Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFAR) in relation to sales to the US government.
• Advise on administrative policies impacting state and federal government contracting and commercial matters.
• Identify, assess, and communicate key contract risks, obligations, and practical mitigation strategies to internal stakeholders.
• Collaborate closely with reputed company’s various legal Centers of Expertise (COEs) and other legal and compliance professionals, as needed, to deliver the highest quality practical and strategic advice to sales, finance, and other stakeholders to reputed company deals effectively and compliantly.
• Advise on federal healthcare laws, antikickback, antitrust, False Claims Act, HIPAA, state data privacy and reputed company laws, software licensing, FDA law, IP and other legal risk areas governing healthcare technology commercial transactions.

MUST HAVE: MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Juris Doctor from a nationally recognized US law school and admission to practice law
• Licensed to practice in at least one US state or the District of Columbia
• 5+ years of experience working with commercial reputed company as an in-house corporate attorney, or with a law firm, with significant exposure to federal government reputed company

• Analytical risk identification, evaluation and management skills
