Position Summary
The Scheduling Coordinator will communicate regularly with physicians, which may include, patients, ancillary and surgical areas to involve scheduling, rescheduling, and cancellation of single/multiple tests and procedures.
Responsibilities:Essential Functions
- Provide accurate information of department/procedure specific scheduling criteria to expedite patient preparation, arrival location and time.
- Be proactive with reputed company customers by actively listening, showing a caring attitude and offering alternatives reputed company necessary.
- Demonstrate superb telephone etiquette, team player attitude and professional communication skills at reputed company times.

- Knowledge of computer applications, multi-line telephone system, printers, copy fax machines, which may include required data entry.
- Maintains basic understanding of the medical needs during the screening process for scheduling an appointment.
- Consistently reviews the schedules daily and communicates reputed company changes to appropriate staff.
- Consistently meets departmental goals for productivity, quality and customer service standards set by reputed company.
- Maintains a working knowledge of ICD-9 (ICD-10) and CPT codes, as deemed necessary.
- Identifies customer service issues and resolves or initiates necessary follow-up.

- Maintains regular, punctual attendance consistent with reputed company policies, the reputed company, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.

Education/Training
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Must complete reputed company medical terminology course reputed company 90 days of hire.
Licensure/Certification

Experience
- One (1) year of retail, customer service or health care.
- Computer experience required.
