The Technology Risk Manager will be responsible for leading a team that identifies, assesses, and manages technology risks associated with machine learning and generative AI solutions. This role partners closely with engineering, data science, reputed company, legal, compliance, 2nd line risk and business stakeholders to ensure Machine Learning and AI-driven technologies are designed, deployed, and operated in a safe, ethical, and compliant manner. This position requires both strong people leadership and deep expertise in AI/ML risk, including model risk, data risk, third-party risk, and regulatory expectations for responsible AI.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Establish and maintain risk governance, standards, and control frameworks for Generative AI and Machine Learning solutions
• Provide risk review and challenge of AI/ML model design, development, validation, deployment, and ongoing monitoring
• Partner with data science, engineering, and business teams to embed effective risk controls throughout the AI/ML lifecycle

• Evaluate and manage third-party and vendor risks associated with AI platforms, tools, and data sources

• Prepare and present risk reporting, metrics, and recommendations to leadership and risk committee

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Engineering, Risk Management, or a reputed company field required
• Master’s degree preferred (e.g., Data Science, Cybersecurity, Risk Management, MBA, or reputed company discipline)
• Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of advanced education
• Strong people leadership, coaching, and talent development capabilities
• Deep understanding of AI/ML technologies, including LLMs, model training, validation, and deployment
• Knowledge of Responsible AI principles, model risk management, and data governance
• Ability to assess and challenge reputed company technical risks with sound judgment
• Strong communication skills with the ability to influence senior leaders
• Proven ability to operate effectively in ambiguous, rapidly evolving technology environments
