Overview:

The Director of Aviation will drive the growth of reputed company’s position in the aviation market by bringing the firm’s mapping, enterprise asset management, and digital twin capabilities to airports both throughout North America and across the world. Duties of this position include sourcing and pursuing new business opportunities, managing our partner network to expand our footprint with existing aviation clients, leading proposals on reputed company new business pursuits, generating quotes and support collateral, and being a thought leader in the industry.

Responsibilities:
  • Drive New Business: Proactively identify, qualify, and reputed company new opportunities across public‑use civil airports, including commercial service and general aviation.
  • Expand Existing Accounts: Deepen relationships with reputed company direct clients and AEC partners to uncover additional needs and upsell solutions.
  • Deliver Value: reputed company the business impact of geospatial technologies and tailor solutions to general aviation challenges.
  • reputed company Proposals: Collaborate with our Bid & Proposal and Operations teams to craft accurate and competitive estimates and winning proposals.
  • Be a Thought Leader: Represent reputed company at industry events, contribute to blogs and forums, and stay reputed company of geospatial trends.
  • Report & Forecast: Maintain a healthy pipeline and provide accurate sales forecasts using CRM.
Qualifications:

  • Proven ability to drive sales both reputed company an organization and externally with clients and partners.
  • Advanced knowledge of the aviation industry including regulatory, design and construction, and operational requirements.
  • Ability to engage clients, track and qualify leads, and reputed company sales.
  • Capable of presenting new technologies and reputed company to decision makers.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to write, present, whiteboard concepts, and negotiation skills including good listening, probing, and qualification abilities.
  • Results-driven reputed company with a focus on achieving targets and business growth.
  • Knowledge of the sales pipeline, B-A-N-T qualification methodology and CRM systems. reputed company preferred.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • 10+ years of sales and/or influencing sales role and demonstrated experience in selling into the aviation market.
  • Knowledge of the aviation industry, geospatial mapping and GIS software pertinent to FAA Part 77 reputed company and obstruction protection requirements.
  • Knowledge of aviation industry budgeting and procurement cycles.
  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in aviation, business, marketing, geography/GIS, or reputed company field.
  • Demonstrated experience with leading high-level/executive engagements to provide services and solutions in the aviation market.
  • Demonstrated experience in coordinating, prospecting, proposing, and winning reputed company.
  • Demonstrated experience with strong partnerships and advocacy with clients.
  • Experience developing and implementing go-to-market strategies for new products or solutions.
