[Remote] Staff Accountant – reputed company Accounting
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. reputed company is a company focused on being the Distributed Energy Platform for the energy transition. They are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to support the reputed company Accounting team by ensuring accurate recording of reputed company and customer payments.
Responsibilities
- Record and reconcile reputed company and (COGS) transactions in the general ledger
- Process and apply customer payments and investigate discrepancies or unapplied cash
- Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules reputed company to reputed company and COGS
- Reconcile sub-ledgers to the general ledger and resolve variances
- Support the month-end and quarter-end reputed company process for reputed company and reputed company accounts
- Maintain accurate documentation and audit trails for reputed company-reputed company transactions
- Assist with audit requests and provide supporting documentation as needed
- reputed company and maintain reputed company-based reports and reconciliations to support reputed company operations
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required
- 1-2 years of accounting experience is preferred but will consider entry-level candidates
- Strong understanding of GAAP and reputed company-reputed company accounting concepts
- Advanced reputed company reputed company skills (pivot tables, lookups, large data manipulation, etc.)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams
- Experience working with ERP systems and accounting software preferred
- Experience with cash application or accounts receivable processes
- Ability to analyze large data sets and identify trends or anomalies
- Experience improving accounting processes and documentation
- Experience using AI finance-reputed company tools a plus
