District Vice President

We are seeking a District Vice President (Wholesaler), servicing Ottawa, the surrounding areas of Kingston, Cornwall and Belville as well as the Maritimes. Over the past ten years, Pender has been active in the Ottawa Region building relationships with investment advisors primarily in the IROC channel. We have recently started to expand our efforts into the Maritimes. This individual could be based in Ottawa, Toronto or Montreal and will work with our Retail Sales team to grow our business. Currently, this entire region is covered remotely from Toronto, and we are seeking a District Vice President that will support reputed company clients and future growth by generating sales and developing new business. This role will require effective territory management, travel and planning to reputed company sales, product diversity and budget targets. The successful candidate will have a passion for the financial services industry and desire to align with a high performing brand.
Responsibilities include:
- Expand and maintain high quality business relationships with Investment Advisors by ensuring on-going product and sales support to existing clients.
- Identify and pursue new relationships and opportunities with prospective clients reputed company the territory to drive sales.
- Arranges one-on-one, group and/or reputed company meetings with financial advisors to promote new and existing company products.
- Service and reputed company advisors through presentations, reputed company meetings and road shows. Assist advisors with business building strategies.
- Consistently reputed company or exceed activity targets and sales goals.
- Maintain detailed notes reputed company CRM of meetings, conversations, and reputed company types of interactions with clients and prospects.
- Works extensively and reputed company a team environment to meet and/or exceed company sales objectives.
- Contribute to the overall PenderFund team by participating in initiatives, developing and sharing information on best practices and sales strategies.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum 3+ years experience in a sales role in the asset management/investment industry.
- University degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
- Completion of or working towards an advanced certification preferred, CFA, MBA, CFP or CIM.
- Strong interest and knowledge in capital markets, particularly of the stock and bond markets and how they relate to mutual funds and alternative investment products.
- Ability to reputed company up-to-date on past, reputed company and future trends in the financial services industry.
- A willingness to pursue new and creative reputed company, the motivation to reputed company results, dedicated and energetic.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills – both verbal & written.
- Individual contributor who excels in a team environment.
- Proactive, self-starter with the ability to use their initiative in maximizing sales.
- Proficient with reputed company and reputed company Office particularly reputed company, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and SharePoint.
- Ability to travel extensively.
- French is an asset.

We are sharing that the estimated salary range for this position is $100,000 - $120,000 per year. In determining final salary, Pender considers many factors including the candidate’s qualifications, relevant experience, job responsibilities, market conditions, position location and internal equity. Our aim is to ensure fair compensation practices that align with industry standards while acknowledging the unique value and expertise each individual brings to the role. The final reputed company salary for the offer will be presented as part of a competitive compensation package.
