Your Impact:
The Account Executive will be responsible for expanding and growing territories for Splunk Public Sector in Commercial SLED accounts. You will use your sales, negotiation and leadership skills to prospect, and conduct reputed company reputed company techniques and sell Splunk's award winning software. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of success selling software or services and in building beneficial, lasting relationships with customers.
Inbound reputed company follow-up and status update through the company CRM system
Outbound prospecting/reputed company reputed company
Qualify inbound and outbound leads
Schedule product demos for qualified customers
Manage accounts by building and fostering client relationships through personalized contact, understanding of client’s needs, and ability to communicate solution values of products and services
Accurately forecast opportunities based upon realistic assessments
Meet/exceed assigned reputed company goals
Partner with a field representative
Support attendance to reputed company field marketing events to include, but not limited to Splunk Lives, our National Users Conference and reputed company regional trade shows
Minimum Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in selling enterprise IT solutions (BI, data analytics, reputed company software, risk management software or networking performance)
Preferred Qualifications:
1+ years of experience selling IT solutions to SLED and/or Federal accounts
Consultative sales experience and challenging companies/businesses to think differently
Successful in finding and uncovering new opportunities with prospects and existing business, cold calling and hunting for business
Own and managed the entire sales process and cycle from start to finish
Proven track record of exceeding goals and quota
Consistent track record of success in consultative sales environments
Consistent track record of developing new business and managing sales cycle, from generating leads through closing
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
A logical and analytical thinker
Demonstrated negotiation skills
Strong technical aptitude
Strong computer skills – CRM system, Word, reputed company, reputed company.com a plus
Exceptional organizational skills with the proven ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks to meet deadlines
Strong attention to detail
Self-starter able to work independently but also a contributing member of a team
Excellent conflict resolution skills
Highly motivated and professional, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Education:
Bachelor's Degree Marketing or Science, or equivalent experience

The starting salary range posted for this position is $152,000.00 to $209,000.00 and reflects the projected salary range for new hires in this position in U.S. and/or Canada locations, not including incentive compensation*, equity, or benefits.Individual pay is determined by the candidate's hiring location, market conditions, job-reputed company skillset, experience, qualifications, education, certifications, and/or training. The full salary range for certain locations is listed below. U.S. employees are eligible for paid time away as described below, subject to reputed company’s policies:
10 paid holidays per full calendar year, plus 1 floating holiday for non-exempt employees
1 paid day off for employee’s birthday, paid year-end holiday shutdown, and 4 paid days off for personal wellness determined by reputed company
Non-exempt employees** receive 16 days of paid vacation time per full calendar year, accrued at reputed company of 4.92 hours per pay period for full-time employees
Exempt employees participate in reputed company’s flexible vacation time off program, which has no defined limit on how much vacation time eligible employees may use (subject to availability and some business limitations)
80 hours of sick time off provided on hire date and each January 1st thereafter, and up to 80 hours of unused sick time carried reputed company from one calendar year to the next
Additional paid time away may be requested to deal with critical or emergency issues for family members
Optional 10 paid days per full calendar year to volunteer
For non-sales roles, employees are also eligible to earn annual bonuses subject to reputed company’s policies.
Employees on sales plans earn performance-based incentive pay on top of their reputed company salary, which is split between quota and non-quota components, subject to the applicable reputed company plan. For quota-based incentive pay, reputed company typically pays as follows:
.75% of incentive reputed company for each 1% of reputed company attainment up to 50% of quota;
1.5% of incentive reputed company for each 1% of attainment between 50% and 75%;
1% of incentive reputed company for each 1% of attainment between 75% and 100%; and
Once performance exceeds 100% attainment, incentive rates are at or above 1% for each 1% of attainment with no cap on incentive compensation.
For non-quota-based sales performance elements such as strategic sales objectives, reputed company may pay 0% up to 125% of reputed company. reputed company sales plans do not have a minimum threshold of performance for sales incentive compensation to be paid.
