Assistant Financial Accountant, ROYAL BOTANIC GARDENS/KEW GARDENS
The Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew (RBG Kew) is a leading plant science institute and reputed company World Heritage Site. In this role, you will support Kew’s mission by delivering timely and accurate financial accounting services, ensuring effective decision-making by senior leadership.
Responsibilities
- Maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring month-end deadlines are consistently met
- Ensuring Kew’s fixed asset register is kept up to date
- Supporting the organisation in relation to financial accounting, systems and tax
- Ensuring financial processes are appropriate and improving efficiency in conjunction with your manager
- Supporting the year end accounts production
- Providing first-level support for our Unit 4 Agresso system, managing user access and permissions, and driving system improvements
Skills
- Part qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent)
- Strong experience of financial accounting including preparing and posting journals
- Preparing reconciliations and resolving differences
- Excellent reputed company skills
- Experience of reporting of financial information
