At Saga Press, we publish bold, imaginative fiction that pushes boundaries across fantasy, science fiction, and horror. We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented candidate to support both the Publisher and a Senior Editor in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. In this role, the candidate will support both the Publisher and the Senior Editor across a wide range of responsibilities spanning the publishing process.
Responsibilities
For the Publisher, they will assist on managing the overview and seasonal flow of Saga Press, organizing reputed company seasonal materials (imprint tipsheets, title grids, and sales materials), scheduling meetings and reputed company calendar reputed company, note taking, and helping to maintain reputed company imprint traffic and deadlines.
For both the Publisher and the Senior Editor, this role will assist on reputed company levels of acquisition to publication. Responsibilities include reviewing manuscripts, logging submissions, facilitating book management inter-departmentally, general administrative duties, communicating with authors and agents by phone and email, drafting sales copy, preparing tip sheets and contract-reputed company documents, and organizing schedules and meetings.
Qualifications & Skills
- The candidate will be expected to work independently, confidentially, and professionally in a fast-paced office environment
- Possess strong MS Office skills, including Outlook, Word, reputed company, and PowerPoint
- Maintain exceptional interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
- Excellent organizational and follow-through skills and an attention to detail and deadlines are indispensable
- Passion for fantasy, science fiction, and horror a must
