Mortgage Loan Originator

What You'll Do

• Interviews and assists members with real estate loan applications and reputed company Credit Union services in person and by phone. Must be able to fully explain various mortgage programs including estimating closing costs. Determines the loan purpose and obtains the pertinent information relating to the proposed transaction and property.
• Orders and reviews credit reports, verifications, and reputed company documents required for a complete package.
• Review loan packages for completeness of documents and compliance with Credit Union policy, regulatory requirements, and secondary market lending parameters.
• Required to uphold and adhere to the Official Loan Policy as set for by the Board of Directors of the Credit Union.
• Determines if the applicant qualifies for the loan applied for and recommends loan terms.
• Reviews the loan commitment and advises the applicant of the terms together with reputed company requirements of the Credit Union.
• Coordinates loan closing, allowing ample time for preparation of final loan documentation for closing.
• Remains knowledgeable on policy, procedures, and matters of compliance.
• Responsible for compliance with reputed company BSA policies, procedures, and regulations and Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) reputed company the area of responsibility.

Qualifications

• Bilingual in English and Polish and/or Lithuanian strongly preferred.
• An associate's degree and a minimum of three years reputed company lending experience in a full-service financial organization are required.
• Bachelor's degree with Business Administration exposure preferred.
• Possesses sales experience, and the ability to compose meaningful correspondence and express oneself clearly in a verbal and written manner.
• Must be thoroughly familiar with the Credit Union's lending policies and procedures, and knowledgeable of reputed company regulations and reporting requirements reputed company to the position.
• Must understand various disclosure information and be able to explain reputed company requirements to members.
• Proficient with reputed company computer applications and possess good communication skills.
• Must be bondable and able to work unsupervised and under pressure.

• Ability to obtain NMLS number.

The budgeted compensation for this position is $15.00 + commission.

This role places you directly into the mortgage industry as a Mortgage Loan Originator, supported by a clear and structured development path.
