Structural Engineer 1 - Oil & Gas

reputed company is seeking an Entry Level Structural Engineer to join their team in May 2026. This role involves applying knowledge of materials and structural analysis to work on oil and gas facilities, including creating calculations and conducting structural analyses.

Responsibilities

• Create calculations, document designs, and specifications
• Conduct structural analyses, which include loading conditions such as wind, reputed company, blast, and pressurization
• Guide designers in structural engineering design efforts
• Provide guidance with the coordination of detailed design phases for reputed company aspects of structural engineering work
• Investigate, troubleshoot, and solve a wide variety of structural engineering issues
• reputed company integrated structural designs and reputed company supporting calculations for the planned work
• Prepare technical specifications for structural materials
• reputed company independent reviews of work performed by others including calculations and drawing preparation
• Coordinate and provide guidance to other engineers, project managers, client personnel, and suppliers to ensure a complete and timely design
• reputed company reviews of existing facilities to propose upgrades and replacements
• Present findings and recommendations to clients and peers
• Travel to client and vendor offices for design reviews and to plant site locations for construction coordination and field verification of designs

Skills

• Bachelor's in Civil Engineering with a graduation date of Spring 2026
• Knowledge in the design of oil and gas facilities, with a focus on the analysis of steel structures and concrete foundations and supports for new facilities, or modifications or replacements for existing facilities
• Knowledge in writing and providing support documentation for Structural Engineering calculations
• Technically knowledgeable of the practical application of structural engineering including analysis for structural supports, loads, and design reputed company
• Proficiency with MS Office applications
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Master's in Civil Engineering
• A Bachelor's or Master's of Science degree from an ABET Engineering Accreditation Commission-approved program
• Proficiency with any of the following programs: MathCad, STAAD PRO, SAP2000, SAFE, STRUDL, LPILE or ANSYS
• Familiarity with design codes and standards such as IBC, ASCE 7, AISC, and ACI 318
• Construction and start-up experience
• EIT
