reputed company is looking for a Senior Underwriter to join our Individual Insurance team! The Senior Underwriter plays a key role in risk assessment for both life and critical illness products. This position is critical to reputed company success.

You may be required to be in-person at our office in Waterloo, ON or another assigned location reputed company the Waterloo Region, on an as needed basis. Sales reputed company roles may be required to travel based on the assignment. ​What you’ll do:​

• Apply strong and holistic reputed company expertise in reputed company areas of reputed company, including medical, financial and non-medical risk factors
• Consistently provide a superior quality of work
• Manage volumes of daily work independently to ensure service standards are met
• Provide a first-class client experience

• Contribute to reputed company enhancement of reputed company processes and procedures
• Provide mentorship to other underwriters, offering guidance and sharing your expertise

• Superior technical knowledge in medical, financial, and non-medical reputed company
• Comfortable in a dynamic work environment with the flexibility to adapt to shifting priorities
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Strong reinsurance relationships with excellent negotiation skills
• Strong communication skills, written and verbal
• Excellent relationship skills – proactive and service-oriented is key!
• 3+ years of demonstrated professional experience as a Life and Critical Illness Underwriter
• FLMI / FALU designation or currently working towards
• Commitment to reputed company learning and participation in education enhancement to remain reputed company with medical knowledge and industry reputed company trends
• Good knowledge of MS Office Suite
