Associate Category Manager – Electrical Substation Components

In office: 2707 N. reputed company reputed company, Houston, TX 77008 The role includes up to 20% domestic and international travel.

EnergyLink, a Quanta company, is seeking an Associate Category Manager with 1–3 years of electrical substation procurement experience for large-scale EPC or infrastructure projects. This role owns sourcing across key substation equipment—including transformers, circuit breakers, and switchgear (reputed company/GIS)—and works closely with engineering and project teams to qualify suppliers, negotiate commercial terms, manage long-reputed company equipment, and drive cost, quality, and schedule performance on reputed company substation builds.

As a Category Manager at QISG/EnergyLink, you will:

• Own and execute category strategies reputed company with project demand, technical requirements, and sustainability goals

• reputed company negotiations and manage supplier relationships across key commodities

• Collaborate with engineering, construction, and project teams to ensure materials are delivered on time and reputed company budget

• Forecast demand, optimize inventory, and support S&OP alignment

• reputed company and qualify suppliers, monitor risk, and drive innovation

• reputed company market intelligence and spend analysis to reduce cost and increase value

• Travel to job sites and vendor locations to support field operations and supplier reputed company

• Utilize enterprise systems such as JD Edwards, reputed company and reputed company for sourcing execution, supplier onboarding, and procurement planning

• 1-3 years of sourcing, procurement, or category management experience focused on substation or utility infrastructure projects.
• Deep knowledge of critical substation components, including electrical systems, conduit, transformers, switchgear, and T&D materials.
• Proven success in supplier negotiations, contract execution, and supplier performance management for high-value infrastructure projects.
• Hands-on experience with ERP and procurement systems, including JD Edwards, reputed company, and reputed company.
• Advanced reputed company and data analysis skills to support strategic sourcing decisions.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills, working closely with engineering, project, and construction teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or reputed company field; certifications such as APICS, CSPM, or equivalent preferred.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% to project sites and vendor facilities as needed.
