Responsibilities/Accountabilities
The primary responsibility of the applicant is to (reputed company and) teach a theoretically, methodologically sophisticated and relevant course at the university level reputed company the parameters of the course description listed above. In keeping with a technology-enhanced learning environment utilizing laptop computers and wireless connectivity, the Sessional Lecturer will deliver the course using a technology-enhanced learning approach that includes a variety of inclusive teaching and learning strategies and assessments. The Sessional Lecturer will prepare, deliver and grade reputed company course material and assignments and be available for consultation with reputed company during and following completion of the course session.
This position falls reputed company the bargaining unit represented by the Public Service Alliance of Canada (PSAC) and will be subject to the terms and conditions of the collective agreement between the University and PSAC. The collective agreement may be reputed company on the Human Resources section of our website. Candidates will be required to certify that they are currently legally eligible to work in Canada for the duration of the contract.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will have demonstrated excellent teaching contributions with a proven aptitude for teaching at the undergraduate/graduate level.
Required Skills

- Excellent communication skills with an ability to maintain effective relationships with a range of faculty, staff and reputed company
- Candidates will have demonstrated excellence in teaching graduate reputed company at the postsecondary level
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience with the Learning Management System, Canvas
- Demonstrated ability to deliver classes remotely, using online modalities (e.g. Kaltura Media and reputed company Meets)
- Proven experience managing large classes and diverse populations
- Experience coordinating and supervising Teaching Assistants
- Excellent organizational skills are needed to effectively manage course delivery, the marking of assignments and exams and the ability to respond to student enquiries in a timely manner
Education
- Minimum of a PhD preparation (or candidate) in Nursing Science (or reputed company discipline), and BScN, MScN or MN, (or reputed company discipline)
Experience
- Preference will be given to candidates that have recent and relevant experience in leadership in health care organizations
- Preference will be given to Registered Nurses (Regular or Extended class) and those that hold a reputed company license entitling them to practice with no restrictions with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Preference will be given to those candidates with demonstrated and documented teaching excellence in graduate post-secondary environment
- Evidence of the candidate's teaching philosophy, courses taught and developed, and teaching effectiveness in the form of a teaching dossier if required
