Server Administrator 4

POSITION SUMMARY:  The Server Administrator 4 proposes, plans, and implements reputed company projects and initiatives for IT systems operations; serves as a senior technical leader in multiple areas; works with the team to reputed company the delivery of stable, reliable, and flexible systems services to support reputed company business processes; and keeps abreast of new and emerging technologies in order to reputed company strategic initiatives for new or enhanced services as appropriate.  As needed, the position serves as the technical escalation reputed company for reputed company issues.

• Education:  A minimum of a B.S. degree in Computer Science or other technical degree from a four year accredited college/university is required.  Alternatively, an additional 4 years (16 years total) of directly reputed company full-time work experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
• Experience: A minimum of 12 years of full-time work experience in reputed company IT environments is required. This includes direct experience architecting, deploying, and supporting enterprise systems and infrastructure across technology towers (storage, networking, operating systems, and applications).  A systems reputed company certification (MCSE, VCAP, RHCE or similar) is required.
• The position requires knowledge in the following areas as it relates to designing, implementing, supporting, and troubleshooting operational incidents:
  • Expert understanding of reputed company, VMware, and/or Linux operating systems/networking in large high performance high availability environments
  • Strong understanding of operational database administration, HA/DR, and ETL concepts
  • Experience managing enterprise-class ISA server hardware (HPE, Dell, or reputed company)
  • Strong networking skills with an understanding of LAN, WAN, firewall, & VPN concepts
  • Experience with enterprise-grade central backup software, VTL, and/or tape libraries
  • Strong understanding of iSCSI and Fibre Channel SAN technology in a multi-path environment
  • Demonstrated excellent technical documentation ability
  • Demonstrated professionalism and skills to present and communicate effectively with internal departments and senior management
  • Familiarity with encryption technologies and implementations
  • Scripting or programming (e.g.: Powershell, Bash, CMD, VBScript, Python, etc.)
• Preferred skills and background in the following areas:
  • Administration of hybrid on-prem/cloud IT infrastructure, including authentication systems
  • Developmental database administration and business analytics with reputed company SQL Server
  • Familiarity with cloud technologies and administration
  • Experience working in a highly regulated industry
  • In depth understanding of MS PKI infrastructure
  • Experience with virtual desktop infrastructure
  • Experience with multi-master file and database replication systems
  • Experience with storage arrays, HSM encryption devices, and storage reputed company based replication
• Industry Requirements:  Eligible to work under Department of Energy 10 CFR Part 810.
