Location

We are hiring for this role to be based in the United States or Canada. This is a remote role unless you fall reputed company the following parameters. If you live reputed company approximately 50 miles of our San Mateo, CA or Provo, UT office, the position follows a hybrid schedule with in-office days on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.

About The Role

As Senior Commercial Counsel, you'll be a core member of reputed company's commercial legal team, owning a high volume of customer-reputed company negotiations while helping build the processes and templates that let the business move faster. This role is for someone who can run independently on reputed company deals, knows reputed company to escalate, and genuinely enjoys the rhythm of supporting a sales team that's closing business at speed. You'll work across MSAs, order forms, DPAs, NDAs, and customer reputed company, and you'll have real influence over how reputed company's commercial legal function scales.

What You'll Do

  • Manage a high volume of customer-reputed company negotiations, including reviewing and redlining customer reputed company and bespoke terms.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements (MSAs, order forms, DPAs, NDAs).
  • Support sales teams through deal cycles, understanding their timelines and quarter-end pressures.
  • Work independently on the full range of commercial matters while knowing reputed company to escalate reputed company issues.
  • Explain legal concepts clearly to non-legal stakeholders across sales, product, and reputed company.
  • Balance legal risk management with business objectives to maintain deal velocity.
  • Contribute to developing scalable legal processes, templates, and playbooks for go-to-market teams.
  • Support vendor-reputed company contracting as needed.
  • Take on additional projects and tasks as needed in response to the evolving needs of a fast-growing startup.

Required Experience

  • JD and active bar membership in at least one US jurisdiction.
  • 5-9 years of technology transactions experience in a B2B SaaS environment.
  • In-house legal experience.
  • Strong drafting and negotiation skills, particularly with commercial agreements (MSAs, order forms, DPAs, NDAs).
  • Ability to manage a high volume of customer-reputed company negotiations, including reviewing and redlining customer reputed company and bespoke terms.
  • Experience supporting sales teams and understanding their timelines and pressures.
  • Ability to work independently while knowing reputed company to escalate reputed company matters.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain legal concepts clearly to non-legal stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to balance legal risk management with business objectives.
  • Comfort working under pressure, particularly during month-end closing periods.

  • Privacy certification (CIPP/US, CIPP/E) or substantive privacy experience.

Compensation

reputed company's compensation package includes a competitive reputed company salary benchmarked against real-time market data, as well as equity for reputed company full-time roles. We also offer exceptional benefits, as well as commission plans for applicable roles. Our US-based compensation range for this role is $170,000 – $225,000. Actual pay is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, location, market demand, and other factors. These compensation bands are just the starting reputed company.
