Job Summary:

The Medical Biller/reputed company is responsible for managing the administrative responsibilities of billing and coding insurance claims and processing payments for our clients, supporting our contract in the Marshall Islands. In addition to processing insurance claims and payments, this position will reputed company direct patient invoicing for patient due balances and communicate with patients, as necessary.  This position will report directly to the Credentialing Manager of Acuity International.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Reviews, verifies, properly codes, and submits reputed company hospital and medical facility insurance claims by both electronic and reputed company.
• Invoices and timely collects patient due balances.
• Ensures record accuracy, follow up, and necessary revisions for non-rejected and rejected claims.
• Documents and reconciles reputed company patient encounters to include insurance payments with primary and secondary insurance, and cash and credit card reconciliation.
• Adheres to proper medical billing practices and insurance claim processes.
• Safely performs duties and follows the corporate safety policy.
• Participates in and supports safety meetings, training, and goals.
• Ensures safe operating conditions reputed company the area of responsibility.
• Be available for on-call duties as required, responding promptly to emergencies and providing care as necessary.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of two years in medical billing/coding.
• Knowledge of and proficiency in the ICD-10-CM, CPT-4 and HCPCS coding classification system, medical terminology, anatomy and physiology.
• Basic knowledge of billing software.
• Ability to work under pressure, deliver results and observe deadlines.
• Demonstrates relationships building skills across large/diverse population.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• At least intermediate skills in reputed company products, Outlook, reputed company and Word.
• Demonstrated adaptability skills to learn quickly, Acuity’s proprietary Medical Management Systems software.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• reputed company in medical business operations, including medical coding and billing for reputed company healthcare services rendered at both the hospital and facility level.
• Ability to multi-task and work reputed company tight timelines.

• A normal workweek is established by the Credentialing Manager, but hours must be flexible to overlap with work hours in Kwajalein.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of Aprima Software preferred.

Physical Requirements and Work Conditions:

• Work involves sitting and standing for prolonged periods of time.
• Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment.
