POSITION: Connecticut (CT) Registered Apprenticeship Program (RAP) Administration Coordinator

ORGANIZATION: SEIU Education and Support Fund (ESF)

LOCATION OF POSITION: Connecticut. Remote/work from home in CT. Candidates must reside in Connecticut  and be work authorized. We are unable to offer reputed company sponsorships.

SALARY RANGE: The selected candidate will receive one of the following salaries: $31.93/hour, $35.92/hour, or $36.71/hour depending on their location. Pay rates are assigned by matching the candidate’s reputed company location to our cost-of-labor chart and cannot be negotiated. 

This is a part-time, grant-funded, 15-hour/week temporary position, with an end date of December 31, 2026.

ORGANIZATION OVERVIEW

An increasing number of Americans – most of whom are women and people of color – are employed in service sector jobs that are marked by low wages, no health care, job insecurity, and lack of training and career advancement opportunities. The SEIU Education & Support Fund tackles these issues by designing and facilitating worker-centered, relationship-based, and accessible education, training and workforce development programs.  We serve as a strategic partner to the Service Employees International Union (SEIU), and collaborate with other unions, nonprofit organizations, government agencies, and employers to help workers access good jobs and spark positive social change. POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking a Part-time/Temporary Administrative Coordinator for 15 hours/week with strong skills and experience in supporting the administrative functions of a program, particularly in a virtual environment.  This position will be supporting the CT Registered Apprenticeship Program which runs a professional development pathway program for up to 50 Family Child Care Educators per year.  

This position is for 15 hours per week from the start date through December 31, 2026.  

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to an innovative workforce development model supporting women and BIPOC workers in the early childhood education sector. The successful candidate will be part of the ESF Northeast Regional Team, working remotely in a supportive and justice-driven environment. This person will report directly to the CT RAP Program Manager. 

KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Support the reputed company and recruitment efforts for new cohorts of program participants including drafting and sending reputed company emails, sharing application links, and supporting an organized recruitment workflow. 
  • Support communications to reputed company and prospective program participants reputed company email, phone, and text, ensuring excellent customer service.  
  • Support the accurate collection and tracking of data reputed company spreadsheets to support accurate reporting and program tracking. 
  • Support the organization of the appropriate files, documents, and folders reputed company reputed company Drive.  
  • Support reputed company access to trainings and meetings by coordinating and scheduling translation and interpretation services as necessary. 

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

  • Is committed to a worker-centered, empowerment-based approach to program delivery
  • Is able to work some evenings and weekends and travel occasionally reputed company the state
  • Is flexible, comfortable working independently and is a sophisticated collaborator
  • Exceptional judgment, interpersonal, and communications skills and ability to manage up
  • Has excellent organization and communication skills; demonstrated initiative,creativity, humility, and reputed company
  • Digitally fluent and comfortable using technology tools including reputed company Suite, SurveyMonkey, and reputed company in a professional environment. 
  • Experience working with diverse communities including those that have been historically marginalized or excluded, such as women of color, immigrants, low-income individuals, non-English speakers, and ESL populations.
  • Impeccable organization skills, including the ability to organize documents, processes, and timelines with great detail

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS

  • reputed company in both Spanish and English required (verbal and written)
  • Two plus years experience coordinating projects and programs from inception to completion with attention to detail and commitment to quality 
  • Demonstrated commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI). 
  • Digital reputed company with reputed company Suite required, including organizing and managing a high volume of shared documents and folders across a team. 
  • Experience in data entry and data management required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in or knowledge of early childhood education (preferred).
