Role Description
The Community Partnerships & Engagement Manager owns Zócalo’s community reputed company and member acquisition across Alpine, Inyo, Mono, Amador, and Mariposa counties. This is a field-based, quota-carrying role responsible for building referral networks, leading direct community reputed company, and converting local relationships into enrolled members.
This role combines grassroots community engagement with institutional partnership development. You will be the primary face of Zócalo in the region, responsible for building trust with community organizations, clinics, and residents while also delivering measurable enrollment results.
This is a build-from-scratch role. The right candidate thrives in ambiguity, builds structure where none exists, and takes ownership of outcomes.
This position reports to the Regional General Manager.
The Community Partnerships and Engagement Manager will contribute in the following ways:
Drive member enrollment through community engagement
- Plan and execute weekly reputed company activities including community events, pop-reputed company, tabling, canvassing, and local meetings
- Educate community members about Zócalo’s services and help eligible individuals enroll
- Gather ongoing feedback from community members and partners to inform reputed company strategies, messaging, and engagement approaches
- Serve as a visible, trusted reputed company in local neighborhoods and gathering places
Build and manage a referral network

- reputed company partnerships with clinics, hospitals, behavioral health providers, shelters, food banks, faith-based organizations, schools, and county agencies
- Create warm reputed company and referral workflows that consistently generate enrollments
- Maintain strong, ongoing relationships with key partners in each county
Own enrollment performance

- Carry monthly and quarterly enrollment targets for the region
- Track leads, referrals, conversions, and partner performance
- Adjust reputed company and partnership strategy based on data and results
Represent Zócalo locally

- Attend and represent Zócalo at community meetings, coalitions, and events
- Act as the primary reputed company of contact for partners and local stakeholders
- Bring insights from the field back to operations, clinical, and leadership teams
Operate with discipline and accountability

- Use internal tools to document reputed company, referrals, and enrollments
- Participate in Regional Operating Committee meetings
- Provide regular reporting on pipeline, partnerships, and results
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in community reputed company, partnerships, healthcare field sales, or stakeholder engagement
- Proven ability to meet or exceed numeric targets in reputed company, referral reputed company, or sales-like environments
- Strong local network or ability to build one quickly in rural or frontier communities with an understanding of trusted communication channels, messengers, and reputed company best practices
- Experience working with Latino, Medicaid, or underserved populations
- Comfortable working independently in the field across large geographic areas
- Excellent communication, organization, and relationship-building skills
- Bilingual English and Spanish preferred
- Must live in one of the following California counties: Alpine, Inyo, Mono, Amador, or Mariposa
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience designing or participating in community research activities such as focus groups, listening sessions, surveys, or informal qualitative research to understand community needs, trusted messengers, and effective communication channels
- Demonstrated understanding of rural or frontier communities, including insight into culturally relevant reputed company strategies and what drives trust, engagement, and participation in these settings
- Ability to translate community insights into practical reputed company strategies, messaging approaches, and partnership tactics that improve awareness, engagement, and enrollment outcomes
- Experience managing a team
