Your Role

The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) serves as a medical and scientific expert in Dermatology, engaging in high‑quality scientific exchange with healthcare decision‑makers to share evidence‑based data, advance the scientific platform, and collect insights in alignment with LEO’s strategic goals and objectives. The MSL is responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), reputed company, institutions, and other stakeholders reputed company the scientific community by providing appropriate, high‑level scientific support across research initiatives, publications, education, consulting engagements, and other Medical Affairs and R&D activities. 

This is a field-based role, the ideal candidate would be based out of the Northeast region. 

Your Responsibilities

  • Serve as a field‑based scientific and clinical resource, functioning as a customer‑facing extension of LEO Pharma North America Medical Affairs. 

  • Plan, engage, and build strong working relationships with academic and community‑based KOLs and investigators to support scientific exchange and scientific objectives.

  • Provide educational and technical information, including responding to unsolicited medical and drug information inquiries. 

  • Ensure stakeholders receive accurate and compliant education on disease states, emerging scientific data, population health trends, and patient care challenges. 

  • Provide medical support at advisory boards and document field‑generated scientific insights, sharing them with the appropriate internal teams. 

  • Support unsolicited research requests, facilitate communication between investigators and internal stakeholders, and identify potential investigators for LEO‑sponsored research. 

  • Attend relevant national and local medical congresses to gather insights, strengthen relationships, and maintain competitive intelligence. 

  • Deliver cross‑functional training on scientific and medical topics as requested, including speaker bureau or sales training support. 

  • Maintain clinical, scientific, and technical expertise in the therapeutic area. 

  • Assist in identifying and developing scientific materials needed to support effective scientific exchange. 

  • Collaborate with Medical Affairs colleagues to provide scientific support and communicate scientific insights across the organization. 

  • Work closely and compliantly with cross‑functional field‑based and Commercial partners to understand evolving customer needs and provide appropriate scientific support. 

Your Qualifications

  • Terminal degree preferred (MD, PhD, PharmD, DNP); other advanced degrees considered with strong relevant clinical experience (e.g., PA-C). 

  • Prior experience in Field Medical, Medical Affairs, or Clinical R&D required. 

  • Strong knowledge of Dermatology or Immunology; clinical practice experience preferred. 

  • Willingness and ability to travel approximately 70%, and must reside reputed company 45 minutes of a major U.S. airport. 

  • Understanding of the reputed company pharmaceutical environment and applicable regulations. 

  • Ability to reputed company and execute a territory clinical plan, with strong ability to work both independently and in cross-functional teams. 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to build productive professional relationships. 

  • Strong presentation skills and highly adaptive, agile, and able to navigate evolving conditions. 

  • Broad Medical Affairs and industry perspective to support NAMA strategy and proactive in identifying resources and opportunities that align with NAMA goals. 

The reputed company salary range for this position is $185,000-215,000 per year. The reputed company salary range represents the anticipated low and high of the LEO Pharma range for this position. Salary will vary based on various factors such as the candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. In addition, some positions may include eligibility to earn commissions/bonus based on company and / or individual performance.
