Graduate Research Intern, Part Time

We are seeking an organized, curious, and dynamic Graduate Research Intern to work closely with Dr. Kotter and our R+D team to advance our latest thinking and research program.

This role is Remote - candidate MUST reside in WA, TX, TN, IL, MA, NY, or Washington DC.

Position Summary

The Graduate Research Intern will be a key member of our R+D team, responsible for various aspects of research, including data collection, analysis, literature reviews, and dissemination of findings. This role requires an individual who has experience conducting studies and is looking to apply those skills to assist in real world research.

Responsibilities

  • Project Management:
    1. Assist in the planning and coordination of research activities, including studies, publishing, and other R+D team projects
    2. Monitor project timelines, track milestones, and report progress
  • Literature Review and Research Support:
    1. Conduct comprehensive literature reviews to identify relevant work in related fields
    2. Summarize and synthesize articles and identify the key findings.
  • Data Collection and Analysis:
    1. Assist in gathering data through surveys, interviews, fieldwork, or other appropriate methods for the research project.
    2. Analyze the data, identify patterns, and interpret findings.
    3. Maintain accurate and organized records of data, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
  • Assist in designing studies
    1. Work with members of the team to design research studies – questions to ask, survey mechanisms, data requirements, etc.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Organizational Studies, Psychology, or similar field required.
  • Currently enrolled in an advanced degree program (Master’s or PhD) in Business, I/O Psychology, Organizational Development, Management Studies, or a similar field required
  • Experience with data collection and analysis
  • A general understanding of organizations, teams, and business contexts
  • Excellent written communication and presentation skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Physical Requirements

  • This role primarily requires:
  • The ability to communicate effectively in person, over video, and via digital platforms.
  • The ability to operate standard office equipment (computer, phone, video conferencing tools).
  • The ability to compile and disseminate information using various software applications.
  • Infrequent travel (up to 10%) for on-site working sessions, or attendance of internal workshops and events, which may involve extended periods of sitting, standing, or presenting.

Hourly Compensation: $20-25/hour, based on experience

Hours: Up to 20 hours per week

Classification: Non-Exempt, Hourly

This is a 6-month part-time, temporary, non-exempt hourly position with the possibility of extension. Overtime is paid in accordance with applicable law. Must be authorized to work in the United States. Employment is contingent upon completion of the required employment verification and background check.
