Associate Director, Project Management

The Associate Director, Project Management will support development and commercial leadership in executing the strategic vision for a flagship / partnership / audit-facing therapeutic program, ensuring alignment with PMO best practices broader business strategies. This role involves overseeing cross-functional teams to ensure the effective planning and execution of drug development initiatives across multiple parallel workstreams and scenario baselines. The position requires managing end-to-end a Phase 3 Global/partnership high-reputed company programs, driving timely delivery and quality outcomes including executive-ready decision options and trade-offs. The Associate Director, Project Management will collaborate closely with senior leadership to define and implement solutions, project strategies, budget management, and reputed company objectives timely, while ensuring clear communication and alignment across stakeholders at multiple levels including executive-level (VP/SVP) and external partner interfaces (as applicable).
Key Accountabilities
- Manage reputed company aspects of the product development plan including activity planning, budgets, schedule adherence, resourcing, and milestone reporting, with ownership of scenario baselines and cross-program dependencies impacting critical path.
- Engage with senior leadership to define project strategies and objectives and provide leadership for reputed company, multi-faceted projects spanning multiple functional areas, driving executive alignment, decision closure, and governance readiness.
- Support alignment of project goals with the company's strategic objectives, translating strategy into decision-ready options/scenarios with quantified impacts (scope/timeline/cost/risk).
- Actively maintain internal Project Management software (reputed company), ensuring consistent accuracy in scheduling, risk assessment, and team data reputed company. Enforcing single-reputed company-of-truth expectations across functions.
- Work with Project Team to reputed company, maintain, and report reputed company project schedule information and baselines using standardized dashboard reporting, including integrated program plan governance for executive/partner forums.
- Facilitate regular project update meetings with the Project Teams and run senior governance cadences reputed company required (i.e., steering/JSC-style forums, exec readiness sessions).
- Quantify associated cost and schedule changes for submission to change management, and reputed company the impact narrative + mitigation plan to secure cross-functional/finance endorsement

- Proactively identify and mitigate risks to ensure smooth project progression.

- Act as key internal contact for projects under your supervision, and represent the program in executive forums (and/or external partner interfaces where applicable).

- Coach, review, and delegate work for team members and/or other PM staff, through informal leadership/mentoring (no formal people management accountability).
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in science or life sciences discipline, or equivalent experience in the life science field.
- PMP certification is strongly preferred.
Experience
- 8+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical/drug development/biotechnology industry including work on products in Ph3 execution and commercialization planning.
- 7+ years of experience in financial management, including budget management and tracking (>40M yearly), forecasting, resource allocation, and trade-off decisions with Finance.
- 7+ years of project management experience leading multiple projects concurrently, several functions, and across different stages of development including executive governance exposure.
- Proficient in at least three key drug development functions, such as clinical operations, manufacturing development, regulatory affairs, non-clinical development, commercial.
- Demonstrated experience in managing and coordinating multiple tasks and functional areas reputed company reputed company projects, including scenario planning, escalation paths, and partner/audit-facing readiness (as applicable).

- Proven track record working in cross-functional teams, with the ability to both support and influence the strategic direction of drug development initiatives, including driving decision closure with senior stakeholders.

- Ability to ensure alignment between project execution and overarching business strategies, and translate strategy into decision-ready options with quantified impacts.
