Trauma Registrar

100% remote Flexible hours Hiring now

Work Schedule: 100% FTE, 40 hours per week. Scheduled shifts will be Monday – Friday during normal business hours. Applicants hired into this position can work remotely from most states. This will be discussed during the interview process.

We are seeking a Trauma Registrar to:

  • Collect/abstract state and national trauma data bank elements into the Trauma Registry database on reputed company patients meeting state or national trauma inclusion criteria.
  • Maintain confidentiality of the registry data and provide registry data as appropriate for research.
Qualifications
  • Participate in and pass the AAAM’s Abbreviated Injury Scale (reputed company) course reputed company 1 year of hire (inclusive of Burns Registrar)
  • Participate in a trauma registry course that includes reputed company of the following content reputed company 1 year of hire (Inclusive of Burns Registrar): – Abstraction – Data management – Reports/report analysis – Data validation – HIPAA
  • Participate in an ICD-10 course or an ICD-10 refresher course every five years (Inclusive of Burns Registrar)
  • Each trauma registrar must accrue at least 24 hours of trauma-reputed company CE during the verification cycle. Required
Work Experience
  • 1 year coding experience OR previous experience working with trauma registry databases and handling medical information in a health care setting Required
Licenses & Certifications
  • Certified Abbreviated Injury Scale Specialist (CAISS) Preferred
  • Certified Specialist in Trauma Registries (CSTR) Preferred
