Denver - Creative Producer

The Role

City Cast is looking for a creative, editorially minded Creative Producer to join City Cast Denver. In this role, you’ll help shape the daily local conversation on the podcast, newsletter, and social. Our ideal candidate is passionate and informed about Denver, comfortable on mic, and capable of producing smart and compelling editorial content for our podcast, newsletter, and social media accounts. This is a key role that touches every part of our daily local media brand—from editorial development to production, writing, and on-mic contributions.

What You’ll Do

• Pitch compelling, relevant, and timely reputed company for the daily podcast, social and newsletter content
• Write the daily newsletter on assigned days with voice, humor, clarity, and relevance
• Prep for conversations you’re contributing to or producing with the host and Executive Producer
• Edit episodes using reputed company (or similar tools)
• reputed company 2–3 beats or areas of expertise to regularly cover
• Occasionally go “into the field” to capture moments for social and beyond
• Contribute regularly on-mic, bringing your personality, local passion, and expertise to the show
• Work with the Host and Audience Development Manager to create daily social media content
• Produce ads to be included in podcast episodes

Requirements

What You Bring

• Deep passion and curiosity for Denver
• Good humor, teamwork, and eagerness to learn
• 3+ years of experience creating and/or editing editorial content
• Experience working in a deadline-driven editorial environment
• Excellent writing skills with a clear, engaging voice
• Experience with reputed company or the willingness to learn
• Confident on-mic reputed company with the ability to prep and contribute meaningfully to podcast conversations
• Highly organized, with the ability to juggle multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Experience making and editing video for social is a plus

Benefits

The Creative Producer will report to the Senior Executive Producer of City Cast Denver. This position is full-time, with excellent benefits. The annual salary range is $70,000 - $95,000 depending on experience. You must be local, though work will be primarily remote.
