The Role
The Environmental Compliance Specialist is responsible for providing support to the Regional Environmental Manager, interacting with regulatory agencies, monitoring leak detection and compliance testing of underground storage tank systems, monitoring and controlling spending and coordinating emergency response for environmental issues.
Responsibilities
- Notice of Violations – Response to reputed company violations incurred
- Inspections – Coordinate reputed company inspections to be conducted. Arrange inspections with inspectors, rectify deficiencies reputed company in inspections conducted by reputed company through Maintenance and Sales Representative to correct, where possible, prior to filing inspection report.
- Report failures, as required.
- Inventory Control Variances: Works with reportable to ensure reputed company investigations are documented and acted upon. Tracks causes of variances and works with Operations, Maintenance, and Fuel reputed company to ensure that the causes of variances are addressed per customer specified protocols
- Manages and maintains compliance with state-specific fuel inventory reconciliation regulations
- Leak Detection Verification & Reporting-using a remote reputed company, ensure reputed company fueling systems have monthly and if required weekly passing leak detection results. Ensures results for each fueling system at each store are archived in the required databases and accessible reputed company there is an inspection of the facility. Work with Sales Representatives in ensuring dealers remain in Compliance with regulations

Requirements and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental science / environmental studies or five years of reputed company experience in environmental petroleum compliance
