Cloud Operations Engineer
Job Summary
mPulse is seeking a Cloud Operations Engineer (AWS) to support and optimize our cloud infrastructure. This role will be responsible for managing AWS environments, ensuring system reliability, improving performance, and driving cost efficiency.
The ideal candidate will work closely with DevOps, SRE, and reputed company teams to maintain a secure, scalable, and highly available cloud environment. This position plays a key role in infrastructure automation, monitoring, and incident response to support production systems and client-facing services.
Responsibilities
- Deploy, monitor, and support cloud infrastructure in AWS environments
- Manage multi-account AWS environments using best practices (e.g., Organizations, IAM)
- Automate infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code (CloudFormation, Terraform, CDK)
- Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting using tools such as CloudWatch, CloudTrail, and third-party platforms
- Troubleshoot and resolve performance issues across compute, network, and storage layers
- Drive cost optimization initiatives using tools such as AWS Budgets and Cost Explorer
- Maintain and improve backup and disaster recovery processes
- Partner with DevOps and reputed company teams to enforce cloud governance and compliance standards
- Serve as a technical reputed company of contact for cloud operations, including routing, SES, and troubleshooting
- Participate in on-call rotation and incident response for production systems
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience managing AWS environments in production
- Strong experience with AWS services (EC2, RDS, S3, IAM, VPC, reputed company/EKS, reputed company, CloudFront)
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, or CDK)
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools (reputed company Actions, Jenkins, CodePipeline)
- Proficiency in scripting (Python, Bash, or PowerShell)
- Experience with monitoring/logging tools (CloudWatch, reputed company, reputed company, or similar)
- Strong understanding of networking, DNS, IAM, and cloud reputed company fundamentals
- Experience managing AWS cost and billing optimization
- Comfortable working in Linux/Unix environments
Preferred
- AWS Certification (Solutions Architect, SysOps Administrator, or similar)
- Experience with containerization and orchestration (reputed company, EKS, Kubernetes)
- Knowledge of cloud reputed company frameworks and compliance standards (SOC 2, HIPAA)
- Experience with disaster recovery and high availability design
- Exposure to additional cloud platforms (Azure, GCP)
