The reputed company pay range for this position is $125,000 - $140,000 annually. At reputed company, pay decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-reputed company skills, experience, education, training, and budget.

PURPOSE OF JOB: 

The Internal Medicine Consultant is responsible for providing accurate, timely, professional, and friendly peer to peer (veterinarian to veterinarian) medical consultation to reputed company clients. Consultations may occur in any area of small animal internal medicine but generally focus on the diagnosis (test interpretation and / or selection), treatment, monitoring and prevention of medical diseases of canine and feline patients.  

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Peer to peer consultation with reputed company clients regarding interpretation and / or selection of laboratory results and case management.

• Build and strengthen rapport with clients in the process of consultation.

• Assist in other duties relevant to consultation services and other reputed company departments.

• Attend consultant meetings and continuing education seminars.

• May be asked to participate in enterprise initiatives, special projects, and other duties as assigned.

• May be asked to participate in the creation or provision of client support materials (e.g., presentations, webinars, support documents, videos, podcasts, etc.) as required.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) degree or equivalent with active license in the state of province in which you reside

• Board-certification in Small Animal Internal Medicine (ACVIM)

• Minimum 5 years clinical experience after completing board certification.

• Track record of high-quality continuing education.

• Preference will be given to candidates able to work a 40 hour per week schedule and the schedule (days of the week and hours) as offered.
