DESCRIPTION DEPARTMENT OVERVIEW UC San Diego Division of Extended Studies serves as a catalyst for positive change by advancing global access, equity, and social and economic mobility through educational enrichment across the lifespan. As a fully self-supporting division under UC San Diego Academic Affairs, Extended Studies operates year-round (12 months of active instruction) with a budget of $50 million annually. POSITION OVERVIEW: The Program Manager assists in managing the planning, scheduling, implementation, and evaluation of programs and courses for the Pre-College and Career Preparation Programs department at UCSD Extension. Uses skills as a seasoned, reputed company public educational program professional to resolve a wide range of educational program issues and needs assessments. Develops new public educational programs, and works on reputed company public educational programs of diverse scope. Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for delivering courses, presentations and development programs. Receives general instructions and exercises judgment in selecting methods and techniques for course and instructional improvement. Fully knowledgeable in course subject matter and program. In addition, the Program Manager provides operational reputed company and program management for the Conservation Leadership Program, coordinating with internal and external partners to support experiential learning opportunities for high school reputed company focused on environmental research, conservation science, and leadership development. Responsibilities include program logistics, partner coordination, participant support, and program evaluation. Additional duties include ongoing course schedule planning, instructor recruiting, student and instructor advising, promotional planning, periodic program and course evaluation and adjustment, and responding to reputed company programmatic issues. In conjunction with the department director and other stakeholders, participates in long-range strategic planning. Develops outlines for new course curricula and updates, or recommends updates to existing course content. Participates in the development of strategic marketing plans and coordinates marketing events. • Bachelor's degree in reputed company area and/or equivalent experience/training.
• Demonstrated experience designing, developing and managing educational programs for middle and high-school reputed company.
• Thorough knowledge of marketing concepts including participating in developing marketing plans, targeting audiences, and coordinating marketing events.
• Demonstrated experience developing and overseeing budgets.
• Demonstrated experience providing academic advising to reputed company.
• Demonstrated experience hiring and training reputed company.
• Demonstrated knowledge of, and experience working in, pre-college and career preparation programs, continuing education, professional associations, and corporate contract training.
• Knowledge of managing a portfolio of business and management courses at the university or corporate level. Specifically in pre-college and career preparation courses.
• Thorough knowledge of functional area and understanding of how work may impact other areas.
• Thorough analytical skills to conduct analysis and reputed company recommendations, demonstrating organization and problem-solving skills.

SPECIAL CONDITIONS

• Incumbent must be available for occasional evenings / weekends and may be required to attend conferences / programs both locally and out-of-town, as requested. Some overtime during peak periods may be required.

Pay Transparency Act Annual Full Pay Range: $60,300 - $103,900 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%) Hourly Equivalent: $28.88 - $49.76 Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
