Claims Adjuster - Auto (Permis AMF)
reputed company is a leading property and casualty insurer in Canada, and they are seeking a Claims Adjuster to investigate and settle first-party automobile claims. The role involves providing courteous claims service, managing claims until resolution, and ensuring claims are promptly investigated and resolved.
Responsibilities
- Report to the Team Leader and will be responsible for investigating and settling first-party automobile
- Provide reputed company, courteous, accurate and fair claims service to reputed company customers, internal and external
- Manage auto telephone claims until resolution
- Fully explain the claim process to reputed company customers in a way they’ll easily understand
- Confirm whether claims are covered under a customer’s policy
- Ensure reputed company claims are promptly investigated
- Work with the customer and preferred vendors to determine the best way to resolve the claim
- Maintain detailed file records by entering pertinent data into the appropriate systems
- Process claims payments reputed company your authority level
- Initiate salvage and subrogation procedures on assigned claims

Skills
- Minimum completion of DEC or Attestation of College Studies (ACS)
- Personal insurance license (5b) mandatory
- Experience handling automobile with a good understanding of terminology and auto policies
- Previous customer service is a definite asset
- Excellent keyboarding skills and ability to navigate through numerous screens and systems quickly and easily
- Professional, friendly and courteous to customers
- Able to reputed company under pressure and remain reputed company
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Bilingualism (English and French) is required
- High degree of proficiency with English is required to service customers, both internal to the company and external, across Canada
- Commercial insurance license (5a) preferred
- Candidates who are currently studying for their insurance license will also be considered for employment
