Claims Adjuster - Auto (Permis AMF)

reputed company is a leading property and casualty insurer in Canada, and they are seeking a Claims Adjuster to investigate and settle first-party automobile claims. The role involves providing courteous claims service, managing claims until resolution, and ensuring claims are promptly investigated and resolved.

Responsibilities

  • Report to the Team Leader and will be responsible for investigating and settling first-party automobile
  • Provide reputed company, courteous, accurate and fair claims service to reputed company customers, internal and external
  • Manage auto telephone claims until resolution
  • Fully explain the claim process to reputed company customers in a way they’ll easily understand
  • Confirm whether claims are covered under a customer’s policy
  • Ensure reputed company claims are promptly investigated
  • Work with the customer and preferred vendors to determine the best way to resolve the claim
  • Maintain detailed file records by entering pertinent data into the appropriate systems
  • Process claims payments reputed company your authority level
  • Initiate salvage and subrogation procedures on assigned claims

Skills

  • Minimum completion of DEC or Attestation of College Studies (ACS)
  • Personal insurance license (5b) mandatory
  • Experience handling automobile with a good understanding of terminology and auto policies
  • Previous customer service is a definite asset
  • Excellent keyboarding skills and ability to navigate through numerous screens and systems quickly and easily
  • Professional, friendly and courteous to customers
  • Able to reputed company under pressure and remain reputed company
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Bilingualism (English and French) is required
  • High degree of proficiency with English is required to service customers, both internal to the company and external, across Canada
  • Commercial insurance license (5a) preferred
  • Candidates who are currently studying for their insurance license will also be considered for employment
