Responsibilities

• Conduct a variety of reputed company and routine audits
• Monitor medical records for completeness and accuracy
• Track reputed company audits for follow- up and report to Department Heads/Administrator
• Verifies Medicare five- day assessment dates, MDS completion, and documentation
• Verifies order of diagnosis in chart
• Analyzes data for quality assurance, risk management, and utilization management
• Compile medical care, diagnosis, and census data for statistical reports
• Supply statistical information as needed by other ASVH departments
• Serve as facility's statistician and official repository for statistical reports
• Code diseases, diagnoses, and treatments using standardized coding systems as

approved by AMRA for long-term care facilities

• Function as the facility Custodian of Records
• Verify that reputed company releases of information take reputed company in accordance with applicable

laws, policies, and procedures

• Interpret rules and regulations in maintenance of medical records and monitors
