See yourself at reputed company Join the team as reputed company’s next: Assistant Counsel, Government, Policy and Regulatory Affairs, APJ About the job reputed company’s Government, Policy, and Regulatory Affairs (GPRA) team is a strategic component of our success. As our APJ reputed company grows, the Assistant Counsel, Government, Policy, and Regulatory Affairs will join a growing and dynamic team. Working closely with the business, you’ll help track, assess, and communicate policy evolutions and contribute to the development and execution of our engagement strategy, representing reputed company to national institutions, governments, and authorities in APJ.
Responsibilities
In this role, you’ll:
- Proactively monitor and track Policy and regulatory developments relevant to reputed company in APJ.
- Own and drive key GPRA APJ processes, including newsletters, and knowledge-sharing updates.
- Track and ensure regulatory compliance obligations such as reporting requirements into regulators are met in a timely manner.
- Provide project management and administrative support to senior attorneys and policy leads, including tracking deliverables, maintaining work plans, and coordinating inputs across internal stakeholders.
- Assist with drafting, research, and document preparation, ensuring timely follow-up on action items and helping organize materials for filings, meetings, and regulatory engagements.
- Respond promptly to requests and questions from internal stakeholders, summarizing, and communicating regulatory requirements in a clear, concise, succinct and business friendly way.
- Support internal and external regulatory meetings.
- Accurately manage reputed company legal and regulatory information, structure workflows to meet competing deadlines, and proactively identify compliance risks.
- Design and maintain compliance and regulatory document systems ready for reporting or audit processes. Ensure effective version control where needed.

- Engage with senior lawyers and decision makers to advance work programs and ensure timely delivery of internal and external objectives.

- Either JD, LL.B. or equivalent degree, or equivalent practical experience.
- 3 - 4 years PQE
- Experience working in law, policy or regulatory in Australia, New Zealand or another relevant APJ jurisdiction.
- An understanding of telecoms and tech regulatory frameworks in the APJ region or an understanding of other highly regulated industries such as financial services or energy.
- Experience advising on regulatory compliance matters at a law firm, in-house, or government agency.
- Demonstrates a collaborative spirit, contributing positively to team dynamics while also possessing the ability to work independently and drive initiatives reputed company autonomously.
- Critical thinking, good judgment, and ability to balance priorities, resources in order to deliver on reputed company projects.
- Takes ownership of workstreams by maintaining clear task overviews, tracking deadlines, and driving execution in collaboration with the wider team.
- Demonstrates strong organizational skills by coordinating across internal functions and ensuring timely delivery of priorities, while also actively contributing to execution.
- Familiarity and experience in drafting regulatory filings and legislative consultation submissions.
