Conducts diagnostic evaluations, writes behavioral treatment plans, provides individual counseling, writes aftercare plans in accordance with department quality and productivity standards. Participates in counseling and patient care as a member of a multi-disciplinary team. I. Major Responsibilities: 1. Conducts eligibility screenings and comprehensive intake and follow up assessments to assess eligibility, gather clinical information, and inform treatment planning. 2. Conducts client evaluations including bio-psychosocial assessment, diagnostic formulation, and initial treatment plan recommendations. 3. Meets with clients to provide individual counseling and assist clients in attaining treatment goals. 4. Writes treatment plans including client’s strengths with behaviorally based goals and objectives. II. Position Qualifications: License/Certification/Education: Required: 1. Master’s degree in a clinical course of study in behavioral health (social work, psychology, marriage and family therapy, counseling, or reputed company field) that meet the academic requirements for independent licensure in psychology, social work, marriage and family therapy, or mental health counseling in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. 2. Actively working towards independent licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. 3. Driving is not a requirement. Preferred: 1. Bilingual preferred. Experience/Skills: Required: 1. Ability and interest to learn and implement evidence-based models of treatment for opioid addiction. Preferred: 1. A minimum of one year of experience in behavioral health or addiction is preferred. 2. Clinical expertise specific to adults with substance use conditions and co-occurring severe and persistent mental illness with an ability to engage clients effectively and work with other professionals and organizations. Unless certification, licensure or registration is required, an equivalent combination of education and experience which provides proficiency in the areas of responsibility listed in this description may be substituted for the above requirements.
